Maria Isabel Nicolau

Maria Isabel Soares Brandão Nicolau is an undergraduate student in Computer Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She is actively involved in research across areas such as Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Anonymization.Currently, Maria Isabel is a part of the FLOPO project, where she contributes to the development of a scientific search system for agricultural innovations. Her focus is on backend development, APIs, and database management. Additionally, she is a PIBIC fellow, researching the topic “Preserving Privacy in Open Science: Strategies for Anonymizing Sensitive Data”, aiming to balance privacy and data utility effectively.
